About Us

We're James and Brie, a couple of nerds who met in post-secondary, where we are both studying psychology. We were married in the summer of 2016, and we're loving learning about marriage and relationships together.

We love learning about psychology and seeing how fearfully and wonderfully each and every one of us have been made. We especially love learning about personality psychology; how people have varying strengths and gifts, and see the world differently.

Evolving Conceptions is an exploration into the variations among people. We largely focus on the Myers-Briggs Typology Indicator and Carl Jung's Theory of personality, as these offer useful terminology for understanding who we are and how we interact with the world. We hope you'll enjoy the brain food, and dig deep into these concepts with us!

He is the fun-loving and relaxed ENTP, who loves a good debate. He also loves playing basketball and Pathfinder, writing and eating spaghetti.

If you were absolute ruler of a kingdom for the day, what would you do? I'd make education free. Permanently.

If you could have one superpower, what would it be? I would choose to have the power to make whatever I can think of happen.


What makes you laugh the most? Being on a sleeping pill. I laugh about everything, and have no idea why...

This is Brie. -->

She is the thoughtful and silly INFJ, who is a self-proclaimed artist, poet, musician, and authoress. She loves sunny days, but likes rainy days even better. Her spirit animal is a fat, lazy, house cat.

If you were absolute ruler for the day, what would you do? I would probably take all I could from the money that was available to me personally, and invest it into developing organizations to break the cycles of poverty in the land I governed.

If you could have one superpower, what would it be? Definitely telepathy. No question.

What makes you laugh the most? Seeing James laugh until he has tears in his eyes. It is so contagious. :)
